Toy's For Tots December 2nd, 2017

Postby cravenbronco » Wed Nov 15, 2017 8:49 am

I figured I would start it's own page.

Toys for Tots drive event which is at Lincoln Tech on December 2nd.

We are planning on attending this event. Had a great time last year and it's always good to help the Kids.
Look what we found to put all the goodies in.
It will fit perfectly on the spare tire.

Here is the actual website for the Caravan for Kids (https://www.christmascaravanforkids.com/eventlocation). The only thing needed to participate is an unwrapped new toy to donate as you drive into the parking lot. They have vendors and various 4x4 displays as well as a raffle and usually serve lunch.

In the past we have met for breakfast and then all headed over together. I can't remember the name of the place we have gone in the past (anyone?) but I would also throw this spot in the mix - http://hashtag-restaurant.com/stapleton/. If we can get an estimate of attendees, I would be happy to call and try to get reservations for the group... thinking 8:30am for breakfast?

So there was a couple ideas floated around at breakfast yesterday. Tim (BroncoRaider) and his wife offered to host as a meet up spot at their new home in Stapleton which isn’t far from Lincoln Tech. Breakfast burritos and coffee would be ordered up.

Was also floating the idea of a holiday white elephant gift exchange. We did it a few years back and it was sort of fun. Anyone interested in participating would bring a wrapped gift worth about $20 and we’d draw numbers to select gifts... you know how it works.

Anyways- I’m up for whatever if people have a preference one way or another. Either way- I’d say 8:30 is a good start time.

We’re happy to host, I’d just need a head count for breakfast.

There will be 2 of us coming down. All I need is a meet time and a address of where we are going to meet up.

There will be me +1 for 2 total. My suggestion is we plan to meet around 8:30.

Is anyone interested in doing the gift exchange? If not, I won’t bother getting a really cool Bronco related gift under $20 to wrap and bring.

Address is 5874 Alton St, Denver, CO 80238. I’ve attached a map showing where the house is (blue dot east of the soccer fields). Some maps are still sending people into the soccer complex parking lots. If you are planning on being here, please let me know so we can plan appropriately for food.

8:30 good for everyone? See you guys next weekend.

You're looking at it all wrong Jeff. I see this as an opportunity to get some unwanted used parts back in circulation and in someone else's garage.
