Zoso brought us up there last year and it is a new favorite for me.

I would like to go up and fish and stay in tents one night.

Might have to do that later in the year when it gets warmer though ?

Does that sound interesting to anyone else ?

Can a pristine LUBR make up there without carnage?

could be possible mike. Just make sure you have tow points front and rear.

And on another note usually it's not open till mid july at the earliest. The trail start just below timberline so lots of snow up there.

I don't think a pristine one would make it...but yours might.

I'd be game for a one or 2 nighter. Let me check my summer work schedule...yep. It's open.

Just an FYI. I went up through fairplay this past weekend. There is tons and tons of snow up there this year. I wouldn't be surprised if it's august sometime before the high mountain passes are open. I've never seen this much snow this late in the year up there. It's gonna have to be hot for a while for it to melt off any sooner.

Rob is right. Although we had a thin snowpack all winter, we have had a very wet spring up high. A month ago, I figured the trails would be open very early, but I feared lots of fire bans, even travel restrictions. Now not so much.

Possibly in - need a shake down run for Drew's rig before the 10th of August anyway (because that is when we are hauling it west to sunny southern CA - he is stationed at 29 Palms). Get a schedule together and I will see what I can do.

FYI The Daisy May "women drivers only", run for mile high jeep club is August 15th and we are expecting 30rigs. We are running Wheeler lake. I'll be there with both my broncos. My Mom is driving one and I'm heading up early to spot the group through v-notch in the other.
