Postby Gregg » Wed Jun 10, 2015 7:57 am

We're heading up to T-33 Plane Crash. If you're interested, we'll be meeting at the Stone Cup in Lyons at 7:30. We will be at the Camp Dick entrance around 8:15-30.

We got started around 8:30. The rain/drizzle stopped a bit sooner and left a lot of puddles but nothing that slowed us down. The rest of the day was perfect. It stayed in high 60's with the clouds occasionally covering the sun. The trail is the same that I remember from a few years ago. Bumpy with a lot of medium challenges. The bypasses were not much easier so the Rubicon parked early and we finished the trail in my Bronco. The trail was shortened a tiny bit with a fence and a T-33 sign. Therefore, the hike to see the plane parts was a little longer. It was a great day. No damage except a small scratch / dent by my rear bumper. It sounded a lot worse. We got back into Lyons around 1:30 and called it a Great Day.

That's great they have a sign now that tells the story. I'm glad they took some step to preserve that area.

I'm planning to hit that trail for my shake down run when I get the cage and bumpers finished on the Bronco.
Cummins R2.8 diesel, ZF5, AtlasII, HP44/BB9, ARBs, coiled / linked suspension, 37" KO2s, full cage, bumpers, etc.

Good stuff! Thanks for sharing!
1973 Bronco, 351 SEFI, Locked, discs, 35's ZF-5spd and Atlas 4spd. 235:1 Crawl Ratio. It may be ugly, but it's slow.
