Tri State Swap Meet 8-9 February 2014 Nat'l Western Complex

Postby akaFrankCastle » Thu Jan 09, 2014 8:25 pm

Yup, almost that time again. Set aside an entire morning to walk the halls and haggle on stuff you'll probably never use.

Who is in for this years show?

I'm in for Saturday. My event coordinator has informed me that this is the best day for me as I will be engaged in home improvement tasks on Sunday.

Shawn, we'll have to let you know where all the deals are and have you haggle for us. icon biggin

Maybe we should have a Kinder contest and see who can get the best item for 15 bucks. I think Kirk currently holds that record after haggling a set of harnesses down from, what was it, 75 bucks?

Nothing worth mentioning.

My favorite license plate table forgot all of his 70's plates.

Picked up a mismatched but very clean pair of arm rests. Landshark got some door locks from Bronco Hut.

A few sets of 15x7s. A set of 15x10s was already sold before we got to them.

A NOS PS fender for $400. A set of fiberglass fenders for 150/each, I think. A few other odds and ends on various tables.

Lots and lots of Offy intakes for SBFs. More than I've seen before. Must be all the rage with the "rat rod" crowd.

Well while you guys were eating a good breakfast and strolling the isles at the swap meet, the boys and I went to not 1, not 2, but 3 different pull and pays to collect the rest of the body parts needed for the ranger. We slogged through slush icy puddles 6" deep and mud but in the end we were 100% successfull. We scored all the body panels, grill , lights etc we thought we needed - off a correct color, matching truck!!! No need to paint

We also scored a sliding rear glass for one of the dodge trucks (mine or Dans) for exactly $11.88

But the most amazing thing we saw...

This roll cage on a lifted and chopped up exploder!!!

I worked on hot tubs for 10+ years, I know PVC. And that is the work of a true master in his field.
