Flowmaster X series?

Postby laffycaffi » Mon Feb 08, 2021 5:15 pm

I'm watching this video and this guy mentions his new muffler, a Flowmaster "X" series. https://youtu.be/5KBmoezH_ko

I'm shopping for mufflers and I love that sound - a bit obnoxious but this is not my daily driver.

Does anyone know what's going on with this guy's set up? I'd love to know what muffler that is.

Also related question: thinking about going two into one now that I've put in these headers. Right now the plan is two into one Flowmaster 40 series.

What are the pros/cons of going two into one? What's the difference in sound?

Thanks!

Something to consider...
I did the Duffs "Jones Full Boar" muffler 2 into 1.
Full disclosure/Have not installed yet
BUT
I was reading up about the Tenn. company that makes the full boar muffler and it sounded as if Flowmaster lost their patent? on the FM 40 series and this company (as well as others) has copied it.
I did the BLACK Friday deal so I got a killer break in the exhaust system as well as free shipping.

Interesting! I actually just placed an order for the FM 40 Series two into one.
