Nice.

Are you doing the sheet metal work with your Hobart 210 welder? How does it do on the light gauge metal?

I'll be buying a 210 amp welder soon, and will sell my Lincoln 135 if I can do sheet metal work with the big one.

LUBER build for my friend Todd

Postby Colorado75bronc » Sat Oct 19, 2013 6:25 pm

Ya I am, it works just fine when plugged into 110, it has more adjustability when plugged into 220. Id like to try it on thin metal on a low setting on 220, i just have to unplug the oven and run an extension cord through the garage entry into the house so i don't do it often, I would've posted earlier but didn't realize the tapatalk plugin was working again till today, and I've been pretty busy with work and other side work going for quite some time

Great progress and it looks like the panels are lined up nice. Is that a NP203 reduction case I see hiding in that pic?

Ya that's mine, not sure if I'm using it yet or not, thanks, the fender gap still needs some tweaking at the bottom, but I've already shown it to the body man and he said he can very easily work with it

Yeah it's still at the body shop, just just waiting, hopefully the body will be reunited with the chassis in a week or two, I've got to finish applying the POR 15 to the frame this weekend and it'll be ready, and hopefully the painter will be ready, after that it'll be in his hands fully for a while

Sorry I've been busy and forgot to post, I'm currently dealing with engine/ trans to body issues due to the nv4500 swap, also had some issues with the painter, as soon as I get the body lined up to where the engine and trans are not contacting he will be coming over to touch up and respray some of the bedliner, for example the crooked line on the cowl and the spots he missed. And if he doesn't fix it to my liking the first try I'll be finding a new painter.

Thanks guys! Ya I know Justin! And just know this I also parted out that 78' bronco and I went and pulled a 97' 351w roller for mine as I have decided to for-go the diesel swap and I'm tired of the 302 that burns 3qts every 1500-2000 miles. I know how you feel about not making progress though as Todd's has been in my garage for 2 years and I often neglect mine since it's my daily driver still and I get burnt out since I do it for a living as well

Corey - you're doing a good job. That bronco looks amazing! Keep at it, finish 'er up and then take a little break before you tear into yours.

LUBER build for my friend Todd

Postby Colorado75bronc » Fri Jul 25, 2014 8:50 pm

Thanks JD, I'd love to take a break but being it's my daily it's going to be built/fixed at the same time as Todd's, plus I can't afford a second vehicle to be able to put mine down and I'm impatient and I haven't been wheeling in a year :P. Also I promised Crystal the next vehicle purchase will be for her and I'll take the lumina at that point as a beater/ daily driver
