Yeah - I lost that fight. More because I have to move the dryer to get to the outlet behind it - and that is not an easy task at all. So I am enjoying my Hobart 140 just fine.
The cost of adding a second 220 circuit to the garage is prohibitive right now as well and would just lead to more big ticket item purchases like a heavy duty compressor, bigger welder, plasma cutter....The never ending cycle that just needs to wait until the boys finish college. (6 more years..... sigh....) Then we can move into a home with a decent shop or at least space to build one.
