Auto logoff or timeout settings

Postby BNC04 » Wed May 01, 2013 5:45 am

Is there a setting somewhere that I need to set to be able to be logged on for longer periods of time? It seems now that after about 10-15 mins I need to login again. I use the remember me function when logging in but still have the same issue.

Thanks
Brett

sounds as if it might be dumping your cookies. but I'm no expert.

Try this: inside preferences, under privacy and history, set it to custom settings for history under the drop down. Check accept cookies from sites and "keep until firefox closes", finally, check "clear history when firefox closes"

Thanks for looking Frank. I don't think thats it however. in all the other forums I'm able to stay logged in with the settings I have now and don't really want to clear the history when FF closes. I'll poke around some, maybe delete the bookmark and delete cookies and try it again. I thought perhaps there was a setting I was missing within the forum.

Nope. Not that I know of. I can poke around in the board settings tonight and see if there is something I'm missing.
I had a similar problem on FordTrucks.com. Don't know what solved it, it was just fixed one day.

Don't put alot of time into it yet, So far I'm still logged in so the changes I made might have addressed it already.
Deleted the bookmark, cleared cache and logged back into it with a fresh instance on the browser.

Re: Auto logoff or timeout settings( fixed)

The last things I did seem to have fixed it. Must have been an old cached version that was the cluprit. Once I deleted the bookmark and reset the cache, it's stays logged in now.. Thanks for the help !
