PM's taking forever to send

I have noticed that when i send PM's they sit in my out box. I have had them delayed a few minutes most of the time but it seems like it has gotten longer and longer. Tonight I sent 4 one went right away I had three other sitting in my outbox after that and one more moved to the sent folder after an hour or so. I still have two more in the outbox that have been there for a couple hours now. Am I doing something wrong? Everything else is working fine for me.

it shows in your "outbox" until the first recipient on the PM opens it
