12v fuel pump electrical hook up question
I think I kind of asked this question before but now I’m actually in the middle of it and I want to know if I can run my hot positive wire from my fuel pump into the engine bay to the wire that goes to the positive side of my coil ? Is that the same wire that comes off of the “RUN” Side of the ignition? ThankYou

Re: 12v fuel pump electrical hook up question
It is the same wire but it's probably not a good idea. You really don't want to rob current from the coil and it's going to be at reduced voltage anyway because of the resistance wire. You can use it to trigger a relay though.

Re: 12v fuel pump electrical hook up question
I had the pump working and drove it for the first time today and the engine actually ran for about 25 minutes or so while we dialed everything in and checked for leaks and fixed leaks and little problems before we drove it and the fuel pump died, will hook the fuel pump up to 12V and see if we can trace the problem I guess
