return line direct to tank, or to accumulator
Since I'm not putting my aux tank back into my truck, I have an extra return line available. I've read some people don't like running the EFI return line into the accumulator, because it puts hot gas back into your feed. I thought I could run my return line directly to the tank, and also the line out of the accumulator to the tank.
But I was wondering if the HP pump could pull more than the LP pump could push. Therefore needing some of the returned fuel to make up the difference.
Thoughts? Does anyone know if anyone has done this set up with success? I don't want to cause a problem with a system that already seems to work well.

The HP pump can flow more than a LP pump.

Re: return line direct to tank, or to accumulator
Well, in that case I'll just leave it installed with the return line through the accumulator.
Thanks

Re: return line direct to tank, or to accumulator
Thanks,
I've been running a LP pump (1st no name BCB pump, now Carter), accumulator, and E2000 HP pump, since I installed my EFI.
I know an accumulator is not necessary, but since its already installed, I figure it doesn't hurt. I've never had any fuel related issues, except all the junk from a new tank clogging up the preLP filter. I also like that the accumulator acts as a second fuel filter.
I'm interested in fuel line options, but for another upcoming build. I'm running mostly steel lines on this truck, with rubber fuel lines (EFI rated where necessary) & hose clamps. It works, but isn't super attractive.

Re: return line direct to tank, or to accumulator
I've been living on the edge, without a filter post HP pump.
What kind of micron filter should I look for post HP pump. I'd like to buy a universal filter so I can use it as an adapter between my 3/8" hard line & 5/16" factory stuff.

From what I've seen 4 micron max.

Re: return line direct to tank, or to accumulator
4? or 40? I went with this, since I was ordering AN stuff for my PS/Hydroboost. http://www.anfittingsdirect.com/an-fitt ... p-269.htmlSeems like 10 is the smallest I could find scanning Summit for options. Most were 40, some were 100. I figure anything is better than running nothing.

Thread on CB
They said 4, said 10 was still going to let damage causing trash through.

Re: return line direct to tank, or to accumulator
This is what I'm using on a couple rigs, easy to find the filter almost anywhere and fairly inexpensive: http://paceperformance.com/i-6679807-pa ... tings.htmlThis is the part# for the AN6 x 16mm fittings: RUS648060 If you need a different fitting, just make sure the end going into the filter is a ?? to 16mm x 1.5 Male. Or if adapting the AN6 to rubber hose: SUM-220769B and SUM-220765B HTH, Joe

Thanks, I like the OEM availability. Might pick one up.

running that same filter on the 76 and 69... cheap and easy to find.

Re: return line direct to tank, or to accumulator
I am running this after my accumulator and it fits directly to the rubber fuel hose. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detai ... &ppt=C0025Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Re: return line direct to tank, or to accumulator
I did some reading after looking at all the info in this thread. It looks like Wix filters are rated to 4 microns, but most other brands don't list a micron rating. Wix 33481 is the equivalent filter to the one RJ Lougee & Landshark are running. So I went ahead and ordered one. I'll put it up in the engine compartment, just before the fuel rails.
Thanks for all the info.
