Sounds like you should start saving for new headers.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Accel makes sparkplug wires with ceramic boots just for high heat applications.
(Accel Extreme 9000 Ceramic wires)
Bronco Hut sells Sanderson headers that fit the GT40P heads and clear the sparkplug wires.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
I have the heat socks since day one.
I'm trying to avoid replacing headers with Sanderson because they are expensive and they would probably necessitate reworking the exhaust.
I'm about at my wits end.
Somebody on CB recommended the ceramic shielded boots but others with same set up as mine say they didn't fit.
Next step might involve high heat and a ball peen hammer.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Those BC headers are expensive too. I bet you can sell them and only be out another $100 to swap to Sandersons. To rework the exhaust, bends are cheap and you've got a sweet welder....

X2 on cutting your BC losses and moving on to something else.

You may not need to rework the exhaust too much. I bet a competent exhaust shop could fix it pretty fast

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Got the rear end assembled and back under the bronco. Gotta hook up the brakes and bleed. shocks, drive shaft, and ebrake. Fill it up and should be good to go.

Got the new plug wires installed.
# 7 still touches the header, although just barely.
Saving for BH / Sanderson headers

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
I drove up to TIn Cup pass to see where the snow starts this time of year (Sunday June 14), turns out timberline - about 11,200 - 11,500ft. Went as far as I could/dared by myself probably about 3-4 feet on the road. About 1/4 mile short of the pass. You can see the pass in the "V" at the top left. A few people had been up bashing, it was pretty compact and if you went slow not a problem, but there were huge holes and no trees. I don't think Tin Cup will be open until July or early August... Drove up to Handcock lake/pass right after this, hit 2-3 feet of snow at about 11,200 ft. No pics.. snow is white ;) All the roads are in good shape, no washouts up there - yet.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Took the plow, assembly and all associated internals off. It turned out to be a bigger job than I though, but we managed to get everything out intact. When the plow was put on someone bent the front bumper back toward the body as I assume it looked funny sticking out straight once the plow frame was on. We need to bend it back straight to put it back on or add a winch or something to make everything fit right. The bumper mounts on the chassis are also trashed from plowing abuse so I am going to need to weld some reinforcing material inside the mount point to re-secure everything. Here are before and after pics: Before After Good news is it drives way better without the plow and frame on. There was also about 400 lbs of cut railroad track in the back that we took out. Feels like a whole new truck. New tires go on week after next. It feels good to make some progress!

Replaced the seal on passenger rear axle again of Friday. Drove it around the block a few times. Hope all is good. Have other parts ready just putting everything on hold.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Started the Bronco to move it 10ft to get to some equipment.
It's been sitting at work since Christmas, it started right up. A bird flew out from the forward wheel well.
10X7 work week is starting to get old.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Finally scored an 8274 Warn winch today
Also, received my 1/4" rocker guards from BC Broncos and I accidentally ordered some LED rock lights to go with them
Now I just need to find time to install all of it

Installed new to me 3.5" WH leafs, extreme duty U bolts and plates, and extreme duty shackles. Still have to tighten the U bolts. Lightning got a little too close for comfort to finish.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Repossessed my rear axle out of Daniels project so I can get re-started on mine.
Not to worry, we are picking up a bronco width axle for Dans in the next week or two. I knew that free trailer I picked up off CL would come in handy eventually
