Well after almost a year after purchasing the 74' from Zoso the drive train was removed then akaFrankCastle and myself spent the weekend taking off the body and storing it on my utility trailer. After that we removed the axles and steering box. We found some issues with one of the backing plates on the 9" (loose) and everything is in need of a thorough rebuild. Project Roadkill will start when I get back from Vietnam. Current plans are a 3 1/2" WH lift, 4:11 axles, EFI 302, Viperbuilt C4, T/J Dana 20 hybrid, half cab with the option of a Bestop soft top and an AM/FM radio. Once I have it back on the road I eventually intend to install a 351 and a 4R70W.

After seeing it out and about, I assumed you had it finished. What a sharp truck for sure!

What, if anything, did you use between the carrier and the painted surface under it on the corner of the truck?

Haven't owned one yet that had a spare tire rack mounted. Plan on putting one back on T.O. and the Stroppe modified one day. Just curious if you went straight to the paint or used an isolating piece of any sort.

Just placed my order for a new radiator and trans cooler.

Started removing my old Duff drop brackets so I can install the new long arm kit. Forgot how much grinding was going to be involved. I certainly wasn't in danger of anything falling off. Can't wait until I can start welding the new brackets.

Got carried away plowing and drove too hard into a frozen snow bank and broke something. Believe me, it wasn't very hard at all.

Ended up being the welds on the crossmember I built last year when I was using the Lincoln 140. Welds just weren't hot enough and didn't penetrate good enough. The new Miller solved it.

My dad taught me that welding is just like golf, whenever plausible, blame the equipment !

Glad it was an easy fix! That logic pretty much goes for everything...

I finally got to use my new to me Lincoln 180 to start finishing up my next project ;)

one thing thats great in a small garage is welding 1/4" plate sure heats it up!

I dont know why it so fuzzy but late christmas here.

Finding new homes for the herd. The HOA has finally had enough of my Don Jr. yard. A little birdie flew by yesterday to let me know I would be receiving a visit from the city Code Enforcement office this week. I can't wait.

New thermostat, water pump, fan shoud and a couple of hoses that were on their way out. Need to keep her cool this summer!

Installed new tank. That was a PITA!

New hoses, new belt, started new WH door rubber set.

Bounces back? Is the window frame fitting correctly inside the half cab opening?

Tupperware effect. Landshark has the same thing going on. Truck is so air tight that when you try to close the door the air pressure pushes it back open.

A bronco that is air tight, not on my watch! BSD has so many holes that it drains MUD out!
