Anybody wondering what ever happen to Rich Barnes?

Anybody wondering what ever happen to Rich Barnes?

Postby Booger » Tue Jan 27, 2015 6:40 pm

You guys remember a few years ago how I helped someone from Canada get his rightful Bronco from Rich? The Bronco with the big ol supercharger sticking out the hood and all? Well here's a story from Hot Rod about some of his latest dealings. Reading the story he took a classic Bronco to CA and came home with something pretty cool.

I was hoping he'd gone to prison for tax evasion.

Thats a shame that a chump like that got that kinda deal. Just the gt350 alone for that price. That guy wont do crap to it and screw someone else out of a ton of money.

Didn't he have some other rather shady dealings on Ebay I seem to remember reading some very negative feedback on him.

I don't know the backstory on this guy, but as I read that story-- the fact that he "coerced" a 5 year old kid to give up the address seems shady enough. Hate it when slimebags actually come across people that are in desperate situations and rip them off... and they actually think they are doing them a favor by giving them money when they are in need (even if it is half of what they could normally get.)

There are a few of those types in the Bronco world too. The types that will pull up to the home of a 70+ couple and offer to buy that old rusty pile of crap for 500 because it would cost them that to have it hauled off to scrap.

His version of the story sounds super douchtastic. I'd be curious to know how much scummier the reality is.

I dunno if it gets scummier than manipulating a child into telling you where he lives... I'm glad he was only after the car.
