Brake light switch
Is the brake light switch adjustable? My brake lights only work when I slam the pedal to the floor. A light touch does nothing to the brake lights. Not too worried but still don't want someone to slam into the back of me.

Re: Brake light switch
Mine has been okay, but my wife's Fairlane uses the same part number and I have replaced it 2 times in the last 9 years. Which is less than 1000 miles for that car.
They are not adjustable as far as I can tell, but are cheap to replace.

Re: Brake light switch
I wouldn't call them adjustable, but I did massage the contact point on my setup. I'm trying to remember if I added or removed material to make it engage better.

Re: Brake light switch
You can bend the flat plate on them sometimes to make them work better. Make sure your brake pushrod has the flat end on it. Some replacement rods are round on the end.

Re: Brake light switch
Yep just had to rotate the rod 180 degrees and it works so much better. I don't have to worry about getting rear ended anymore.
