'67 Sun Fade Patina
Hey guys - I've been out all week since the M&G...thought I'd drop a line with a couple pics. Looks like things are coming together well.
I'll be sending an email to all who signed the sheet at the M&G Sunday. If anyone else wants to share their contact info with other members in this kick-off effort drop me a message with your email, name, screen name, city and rig description.

Is the trail in CO? Hook me up with the name. Funny to me that Bronco's exist in suburbia - I wonder if HOA's want to ban them.

Re: '67 Sun Fade Patina
My HOA probably wants to ban my old girl...she marks her territory in front of my house like a rogue coyote. I don't even know if the trail has a name - it's out of CSprings past Woodland Park - you can cross over and down to the Platte River there. Fun place - I'll have to bring a gazetteer to the next meeting and show you the area.

I'm decent at landnav, w/geos I could find my way, and it would be great to bring maps to meetings so we could talk trails.

That last picture looks really steep - can read your lips saying WHEW! I MADE IT! That trail looks fun, but looks cold - good thing you had the hard top on. Looks like you had some company - a Jeep and what looks like a Scout - is that your Brother-In-Laws? I am excited to see his Scout - from what you have said it is sweet. HOA's are usually notified by your neighbors - I take mine fresh baked cookies often

That trail looks like Hackett, Longwater or Metberry. Is it out of Divide? Take Cedar Mtn. Road?

Trail looks like Metberry. Just did it on 10/31/10. Did you drop down a big rock slab before you reached the Platte?

Re: '67 Sun Fade Patina
Is that Arcadian Blue under that red/patina? Looks just like the paint I found under the red on my '66.
Nice family cage. Whodunit?

Re: '67 Sun Fade Patina
That is BEAUtiful! Who made the cage? I'm still anxiously awaiting mine. Bronco Hut picked it up from ProtoFab last week but they didn't install the overhead bars I asked for. So ProtoFab is shipping the bars to the Bronco Hut and Dana is going to install them this or next week sometime. PITA!

Re: '67 Sun Fade Patina
Your cage turned out awesome but the pics do not do the Metallic paint justice - it is even nicer in person. Nice job on the welding and the paint!

Re: '67 Sun Fade Patina
That is the original Arcadian blue. I'm planning to go with a metallic rust type color when she gets painted. The cage is a kit offered by All Four Fun...I think they are out of Washington. It was a Craigslist steal for $250 and my brother in-law helped weld it up. I sold my old roll bar for $100, so my net cost was $150 and a bunch of work. Don't underestimate the time for that project...I think we took a day and a half, going slow to make sure it was straight. That's not including the sanding, priming and painting.
