Looking for a working 351w longblock with extra's. I'm dropping it in my Bronco which currently has a 289 in her. Was thinking of just buying a reman block but I'm gonna get nickle/dimed to death on the extra's. Anyone gots?

what are you looking to spend? I have a brand new 351W in my bronco and I want to take it out. it has 2000 miles on it. To many options to list.

Well first of all it needs to be a fuel injected engine, with all the accessories and if it comes with the complete harness including computer.... well it will depend on mileage and condition. A low mileage unit with everything and set up to drop in, well i would think upwards to $1k or even a bit more. Carburetor motors with high mileage.... $250 or even less if it needs rebuilt or is having issues. Personally, i doubt i would be interested in a carb motor at all.

OK, there are 6 of you looking to upgrade to a 351W..... I have a strong but smoking 302 so, when you find that 351W and need to find a home for your non-smoking 302, let me know :')

I've got a 302 out of a bronco I'm working on that's a good non smoking 79 block, I pulled it to swap a 351w for a customer of mine

Depends on your definition of easy. If you're reasonably handy, it's about the easiest engine swap out there. If you need a mechanic to add air to your tires, I'm not sure I'd advise it. smokin More seriously, set a date after the holidays and buy the pizza and beer. If you can get it prepped and ready to pull, you should have enough guys to get the new one in and ready for accessories in a day.

Last time I bought a 351w I looked forever for a decent one for a fair price with no luck. They expensive or "ran good when pulled" crap shoots. Then I stumbled upon a simple fact...people sell vans for dirt cheap. Most of the ford vans have a 351w. I bought a great running van for 500 bucks, drove it home, pulled the motor, tranny and all the other junk I needed. Sold the tranny for cheap, called the scrap guy and had a decent motor for less than 300 dollars...something to think about
