Re: what is it worth
I'd start at $3-3500 if it's running well. That looks like a good starting point.

Re: what is it worth
Thanks again Justin. The owner is asking $5000 which I thought was a little high but again I don't know much about early broncos. It is about exactly what I am looking for but don't want to be out to much at the start.

Offer 3k, unless it is likely to piss him off. Could be worth 4, depends on condition. Where are you at?

Re: what is it worth
I was thinking $4000 tops but again I would feel more comfortable with a more experienced EB owner checking it out. The bronco is located in Wheatland, WY. I live just inside the Wyoming state line, a few miles south of Cheyenne, hence the extreme northern colorado location in my location.

Re: what is it worth
If the floor boards are the worst problem you have - that is a $3500 - $4000 bronco. If it has door posts rotted out (look from the inside front wheel well) then take another $500 off. The 3spd on the tree really hurts the value unless you are planning a stock resto.
You can find broncos with that amount of rust, automatic trans and D44 front axles for similar money, and do so just about every week. You have to be ready with cash when you walk up though because the guy coming right behind you probably is...

Re: what is it worth
$3500 tops i would say but it depends on what your end goals are. Being in wheatland WY, the condition and price I think it will sit longer unless he takes less than $4000 but whos knows.
If your patient you can easily get a bronco thats got more desirable parts and in better condition for allot less than $8000.
Maybe offer him your lowest offer and if he turns it down then just tell them if he changes his mind or wants to counter offer give you a call - you have cash in hand.
also remember you have to get it home.. that adds to the initial cost.. gas, time, fixes etc..
