Re: Landsharks 76er Refresh and Build
Not mine.. but another guy on CB.com got his truck painted in the same color iam painting mine.. thought i would share since this is really the first time i have ever really seen the color... the hood is not correct, he said the painter was going to redo it.. its a bit off.. the rest of the truck is the correct color...

Kinda a cool color. I don't think I've ever seen one that color.

Re: Landsharks 76er Refresh and Build
Paid the man today $$$$$
and the truck is ready to come home, figured I would reach out and see if anyone has a trailer that would be willing to help me move it back home, but it might be less hassle to just flat bed it here (probably around $80 - $100).
If guys are out and about and want to come over to help me get it back in the garage that would be great.
I can offer Anaheim chilis and tomatoes as i have a few in our garden ;)
or refreshments.. for you non vegans.
Iam thinking Monday or Tuesday on the move - i need a day to get my garage emptied.

Re: Landsharks 76er Refresh and Build
went and got some supplies this afternoon and stopped into pep boys for some brake cleaner.. only thing they are really good for now a days.. anyway first time i actually got some help in there.. long story short.. decided to see how much a master cylindar was for the 76.. mine was corroded and very gross.. Well they happened to have one.. and so the guy pulls it off the shelf.. he said man this thing has been there for a long time.. turns out this master cylindar has been on the pep boys or someones shelf for 14 years maybe longer.. havent looked at the paper work yet but 1998 at least.. box looks a little beat up but the MC is fine.. checked it out. anyway got a Raybestos made in USA.. $15 ;) kind of a funny story

Re: Landsharks 76er Refresh and Build
It was a great morning, and I learned a lot. Hope I didn't get in the way. Ha! So much fun to see someone take one of these rigs, strip it down to scratch and bring it back to life. What a sense of accomplishment!

Re: Landsharks 76er Refresh and Build
Like Steve - Had a great time and even learned some. Good thing Chad has hauled is bronco south because this one is going to make his look like a beater in comparison. Chris - she looks amazing! And I am look forward to coming over to help whenever I can. It is nice to work on a rig and not have to worry about getting all greasy. Very nice. Some pics: The Master and one of his children It is like a present on Christmas morn - just cant wait to un-wrap! The prodigy working on his own Bronco Degree: When the Master speaks - We all listen, and learn. Sometimes we all have to hit the books: The new power plant finding it's way home: And yes - it is "Viperbuilt"! Still a ways to go - but it sure looks good sitting in its new home! Some worked so hard they had to take a little nap!

Re: Landsharks 76er Refresh and Build
keeping on rolling.. some more pics.. PIcked up some new torque converter to flex plate nuts and got them installed along with the inspection plate. Bolted on the new starter as well.... Got the radiator installed.. had mine cleaned and pressure tested. Installed the lower hose.. wow is it close.. not sure it will work.. but it should be ok.. but man its CLOSE to the fan blades... might have to change that sooner or later. Not quite sure what I will do with the upper hose. I'm still trying to figure out the power steering reservoir location and then I will start cutting and routing.. might have to do cut a hole in the power steering bracket and route the radiator line and maybe even the high pressure line through it... Going to have to make a shroud extension... fan is not in the shroud far enough... SuperDuty lower radiator hose.. i didn't think it would work.. its close and looks like it will.. may have to work on this a bit more but I will see how it does... Lots of little stuff I have been bolting on. Already have the main body wiring rewrapped and mounted. Iam going to be doing the rear wiring and lenses today along with the wiper motor.

Re: Landsharks 76er Refresh and Build
I would like to see your lower radiator hose set up in person.......after you get it adjusted
I used the explorer oil cooler and a crossover tube which hangs down in front of the frame crossmember...........don't feel safe to me for trail ridin'
