Re: The Waldo Canyon Fire
Zach,
Glad you and your family are safe, and heading home.
I am with the others here - looters and thieves in general - they don't deserve the comforts of a prison cell for the next 20 years... There is not a lot lower place on the evolutionary chain of humanity than those who would attempt to take advantage of an others catastrophe.
Please let us know if there is anything we can do.

Re: The Waldo Canyon Fire
Well, the thieves & looters aren't the only dirtbags running around now either. I've seen 7 out of state contractors today alone. 6 of them were at one of the relief shelters and the other was at the restaurant for lunch. These guys are predatory contractors. I personally have received 4 calls at my office from out of staters looking to "get in on the action". It makes me sick to see people like looters, thieves & dirtbags seeing $$$$ at the expense & tragedy of others.

Re: The Waldo Canyon Fire
Sbolt19 your right. Those guys are just as bad.
About a month and a half ago I had a guy walking the neighborhood looking for roofing customers. I hadn't been up on mine in a while so told him to have a look. He had one of the adjusters show up and take a look. Well I caught the guy pulling up on the shingles to make them appear as if they were wind damaged. Needless to say I've never contacted my insurance to turn in a claim because I wouldn't use those guys at all. I never got a call back from them either because I told him my brother in law was a general contractor and I was also gonna talk to him about it.
