Torch
I'm thinking about picking up a torch to use for bending shifters, cutting steel plate for a bumper, etc and have a few questions. Any reason buying used is a bad idea? I'm pretty sure I won't be able to afford a new one. How about the small Porta A Torches? Other than capacity, how well do these work? For those of you have have torches, how much use do you wind up using them?

Re: Torch
Check out Tool King, now that your so close, before buying a new set up. I have been looking at options as well. The cylinders are the tricky part, lease or buy?? depends on just how much you will really use it. I got a price on all new everything from cylinders to the cart and it was near $900. If you can find a used set up you would be better off, if anything buy new hoses. I ended up getting my dads old stuff.
BTW- you can always borrow mine.

Re: Torch
Thanks, borrowing yours may wind up being the best option. I really appreciate the offer. I'm not 100% sure that the amount of use it'll see justifies the $$$.
