I have finaly gathered all my parts for front and rear lockers, ring and pinions, overhaul kits and new rear shafts. Is there a shop or mechanic among us that I can feel confident about tacking my Bronc to for a fair price? Any recomendations would be appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like a perfect tech day. Install in a 9in is super easy. the front is a little more in depth with the need for a press. I just went through and geared my 79. All in all pretty easy.

Crawlercreations has offered to host a class on this, but if you don't want to wait until that gets set up I'm sure he would do it for a reasonable price, shot him a PM and see if he has time, it'd be cool to keep it in our group.

Yea, it would be a good reason to get together and meet some you, I'm anxious to do it but at the same time I would really like to know how its done first hand so in the future I might be able to do it. Besides I want it done right the first time, even if I have to wait a bit longer.

@Roxcrusher....I used to work for All american 4x4. How do you like them? I assume pretty well since you are recommending them but I am just curious.

I went to All American about five years ago and thought it was good service. I had just purchased my bronco about a year before and just wanted them to check things out and had them put the rear leaf springs on for me. Someone on Classicbroncos.com was asking for a shop a couple of years ago. I refered All American and soon after there was a lot of lashing out from other members as to how bad they were. I haven't used them since (got more tools and ability to work on the bronco myself) but I have heard good and bad things about them.

I'd be up for a tech day or something like that with crawler. I know the Ford 9" is an easy diff to work on but I also want to work on the Dana 44 and am not sure about that one.

Thanks Jason for the install. Everything seems to be good. I'm going to get them wired up today and burn through the 500 mile break-in period so we can trail test them

I am glad to have met you and can't wait to see that thing wheeling! Let me know how you like the lockers when you get them plumbed and wired in! I guess it is getting to be time to get another trail run in! Keep an eye on the staging area and let us know when you have reached the break-in point!
