I had to cut the rear brake diff tubing to get the stripped piece out of the old wheel cylinder. I could buy a the whole new rear tubing ( from WH ) for less than a CB.com recommended double flare tool. Does anyone have one I can borrow?

I'd just buy the hard line kit from WH and save some hassle, esp when you figure on buying the tubing as well. If you were redoing all the brake lines, then a flaring kit is a better deal. If you do make your own, you're also welcome to borrow my brake tubing bender.

Use double flare only on brake lines. You can buy specific lengths of fitted tubing at parts stores and just bend it yourself.

Shawn - also, double flaring is an art. It's not easy to get consistent results without lots of practice.

I'd also do what Phil recommends, buy standard lengths at the parts store and make them work. Just make sure you get the right threads.

where do you live? i have a couple flaring tools and I just finished running my own fuel lines setup with double flares, but as others have said you can just get some lines from the auto store and bend them up.

Thanks, I found some at the parts store that are pre flared and inexpensive. Sounds easier than doing it myself and having someone else fix it later!
