Yea...we are lucky enough to have a south facing driveway....it'll all be melted by tomorrow if the sun comes out.

It's amazing, growing up here in Colorado, I used to have to walk to school in 6-10" of snow. Today, if there is a hint of the white stuff, schools delay or cancel. My wife is a teacher and also from here, so it pisses us both off. Especially when you have a school superintendent from Southern California who is scared to drive on anything other than dry pavement. I remember coming home from school and building snow tunnels in the front yard. We just don't get that type of snow anymore.....Major snow storm, my ass!

We've had the opposite experience. My wife is also a teacher in Littleton and it will be hell or high water before they close down. She has driven to work in white-out conditions before.

I just shoveled our driveway and measured 15".

Non-event from my perspective

Whats all the hub bub. I just got outta bed....yawn...We got a call last night that school was closed. Wife and I are teachers. We think it was a good call. I wouldn't mind if we had more though.

Zilla hurry up and get those gears in!!! I want to show up in style!

We've got about 6" here. Still much more than we ever got last year, but not even close to what I was hoping for! I wanted enough to necessitate taking my son to daycare in the bronco today. Chains even... Nope, just slicker than heck and drifting pretty bad.

What sucks for my wife is all the AFB's in the area get shut down or delayed. Not the Academy...those cadets are there, so hell or high water, so should the staff... Looks like I picked a perfect day for a Dr. app. there too.

Cleared driveway and sidewalk out 3 times and it looks like it is getting ready to settle. Amazing the panic people get into over these storms.

I'll be looking at the shovel again. Got another 4-5" overnight.

Snow blower...

I did a little driveway snow bashing today. The plow truck did me a favor and built up a nice pile for me to smash through.

I live in a cul-de-sac. Plow's never come down here. So I had to take the Bronco out and do a dozen donuts in it to make the street driveable. Probably pissed off the neighbors but what do I care?

That is a ton of snow on your Bronco! I am getting my Bronco out tomorrow and going to cause a little mischief with the kids.

We didn't get squat up here. Thanks so much for not bitching about the snow, guys. There is nothing I hate more than people who live in Colorado complaining about snow & cold. I know somewhere they can all go. Here is a picture, I think taken just east of Denver:
