Post 351W advise
So, I posted up a 351W I found on craigslist in the Bronco parts for sale forum. I'm seriously considering picking up this motor, but don't really know if the price is right. As I detailed in the post and what I've learned from the seller:
1969 Block
Stock rebuild earlier this year
Bored .030 over
Motor hasn't been run since July. Seller had it in a '37 Dodge rat rod/custom and grendaded the transmission. He pulled the motor when he pulled the tranny (removable front clip). He has since decided to go all Mopar with the car, so the 351W is for sale. Engine has M/T valve covers and an MSD dizzy on it. No exhaust manifolds or headers, no carb.

Seller offered to drop the motor back in and fire it up for me, if I so desire. Apparently all the plumbing and wiring is still there.

Seller is asking 750.00 as it sits now and has offered a lowered price of 550.00 without the MSD and M/Ts.

So what do you guys think? A solid buy? I've heard the '69 block is pretty good as the webs are wide enough to go four bolt, if I desired. Would make for a nice replacement to the possibly leaky 302 in my '69 right now. Or would make a nice project motor for a future project.

Would you buy this for the Stoppe-ified Bronco? Don't you already have an extra motor?

Post Re: 351W advise
Actually, I was thinking my '69 that will be going on the market soon. Pretty sure I have a small coolant leak at the intake right now. Not really that big of an issue to fix, but the 351W might add a little punch to the selling price.

I do have a 400M in the garage on a stand. It's out of commission. Found water on top of the pistons when I pulled it out of my 77 F250 a few years ago. Just keeping it around in the event I decide to ever follow through with my plans to build it with 351C 2v Aussie heads and go for a 400+HP monster to drop in to something.

This whole thing is probably a moot point anyhow. Haven't heard anything back from the seller since I bombarded him with questions a week or so ago.
