Re: CCB Ski Day
There's hope for a good ski day. From opensnow.com:
On Monday the wind subsided somewhat for the northern mountains along the divide, and the wind should now stay under control for the rest of the week.
The short story is that we’re going to see sunny, dry, and warm weather through Saturday. Then the northern mountains should experience colder air and light snow from Saturday night through Monday night. Don’t get your hopes up for a powder day, but at least there should be flakes in the air at times for the northern mountains. This round of snow will be followed by another few days of dry weather during the middle of next week, and then most or all mountains should see snow between about Thursday, February 18th and about Saturday, February 20th.
The somewhat longer story is that we are seeing a ridge cover western North America while a trough is positioned over eastern North America. Ridges are generally associated with warm and dry weather and the opposite is true of troughs.
The radar on Tuesday morning confirms this scenario as the eastern half of the US is seeing snow showers while the west is dry.

Re: CCB Ski Day
I will be there with the family. Meeting at 9am right? There is a statue of mountain goats at the base. We can meet up there if that works.

Have fun! It's a blast. Beginners usually don't weight their rear foot enough. Knee pads are also a good idea, as you'll mostly fall on your knees. If we can connect before this weekend, I've got a set you're welcome to borrow.

Re: CCB Ski Day
I'm calling this one off since there's limited response. Is there interest in rescheduling?
