351 w rebuilder, who do you recomend
I purchase a 1966 U14 WAGON with a six 170ci, 3 on the tree 2.5 lift in crummy shape.
I purchase separately a 351 w and c4 attached. I am taking it apart. The engine is rusty in one cylinder , the pistons are stamped .030. Block number E3AE 6015 BA20. HEADS roller rockers #08EAB also an E3, inside the block in the intake valley is stamped 351W WCP20. A 4v intake stamped E4TE 426 BB, brackets for the a/c, alt/ ps.
Who would you recommend to rebuild the long block to get about 300hp in the Denver area. Or should I purchase a remanufactured long block.
thanks, larry part time in Golden

Howdy Larry
I’m no engine guru but if the blow I had already been bored out to .030 and it has a rusty cylinder you may need to start over with fresh block like the one in the misc for sale section.
Scott at MPG Heads has rebuilt several 351 for club members and to my knowledge everyone is happy. He isn’t the cheapest guy on the planet but I think he does good work.

After using both Scott and western machine I'd use western. Scott was really slow and his communication wasn't great. Westerns customer service was awesome when they killed my heads and the work was good.

My cousin runs a shop in West Denver and he rebuilt mine. He might have done it for me being family, but if you want his number, pm me. I've got 700 miles on mine so far without any issues related to the rebuild. Just fueling issues.
