Greetings. In a rookie mistake, I broke the brake line that goes from MC to the little copper divider block. Whatever that's called. Parts stores look at me confused when I bring this in to get a replacement. Any tips on where I could find one is appreciated.

I am assuming this is between the master cylinder and proportioning valve which as you described splits the lines. Most local parts stores probably don't have a specific line for your vehicle. The other options are buy the materials and make one or to try an online vendor like Toms Bronco Parts, etc. You could also see if another member has one.

Someone may come along to shame me for saying this, but most cars these days run hard line between the master cylinder and the prop valve. They usually wind a coil or two in to allow flex between the body and frame. I don't see any reason why you couldn't do the same.

I made mine from parts store hard line. Took about an hour and looked very similar to the ones above. The lines are soft enough to bend by hand, or you can spend $10at harbor freight for a bender.

Whichever way you go with them just make sure the new line doesn't rub against the steering shaft or you could get stuck with no brakes on top the wall on the Poughkeepsie Gulch trail. Not that it's happened to anyone before. I won't mention any names, but I will leave a picture.

Thanks for all the tips! I think I'm going to try to find someone to custom build a line for me. Im not crafty enough to make my own!
