Dana 20 Disassembly
I've got the case apart down to removing the front output shaft. The book says to wedge the front output shaft bearing away from the main drive gear to get to the C clip. How far should I be able to seperate the bearing from the gear? What is the best way to seperate them? Right now I barely have enough room to get a screw driver between the bearing and gear to get to the C clip. Any tips on getting the C clip out of it's groove?
Thanksl dan hunt

Re: Dana 20 Disassembly
Okay got it. I was able to get a small bearing seperator inside the case and get the bearing to move away from the gear enough to work the C Clip out of grove and get it all apart.

Is it a T shift case or a J shift case? Only the T shift case has the snap ring. The bearing on the T shift case isn't pressed on so you should be able to move it out of the way once you get the race out. If it's a J you just need to press the shaft out through the back of the case.
