High idle issue
Drove mine for about 40 minutes today (an accomplishment in and of itself) and dealt with the fact that for the first 25 minutes or so, it didn't want to idle correctly. It would stay at a higher idle. Finally about 25 min in, the idle dropped to where it should be at.
I have the original 2150 with an electric choke. It's a 75 with the smog equipment.
I noticed this a few weeks ago and checked for vacuum leaks. The fact that it eventually will idle makes me think it's not a vacuum leak.
Garry, before you chime in from the peanut gallery, yes, I know EFI would solve this but I don't have the funds to finish the 351w.
So, what should I look at? Could it be the coil in the choke? I do have the wire from the alternator hooked to the choke. I guess I could check it for voltage first.
Thanks!
