Orientation of IAC
Can the plug portion of the IAC be flipped 180 degrees (so plug is angled upward like in the picture) without affecting idle or performance? If I install the IAC as it comes from the store (plug angled downward) the throttle cable and throttle cable bracket are in the way of the plug. I don't like how snug the plug is against the sleeve connecting the TB to the cold air intake, but it clears the throttle cable and bracket this way.

Yes, you can rotate the motor. You can also replace it with another that has a straight out connector. I think crown vic was like that.

I flipped mine to make room for a throttle plate. No issues at all, other than it being really tight against intake tube, but that works fine too.
