I picked this Dana 60 ARB up in a parts lot and have no current use for it. Looking for opinions as to if it would be okay to run it or not with the damage. Thanks |

It's hard to tell from photos, but in all likelyhood it would okay. The risk is a crack propagating from that damaged area or internal damage you can't see. If it were me, I would only run it in a front axle and pull the cover at occasionally checking any cracks forming. |

I'm with digger. Not knowing how thick that section is makes it difficult to determine. I wonder if someone could TIG that hole in without distorting the case? |

I'd be inclined to disassemble and check for internal damage. If the guts are good I suspect you could get a new housing. |
