Question Ruff stuff steering
I have a question on the steering before I order. Is it better to reem the knuckles or to drill the knuckles out and install the tie rod tapered insert?
thanks Alex

Re: Question Ruff stuff steering
I'd ream the knuckles. The taper helps prevent the hole from developing slop. The inserts work fine, but the taper is better.

On the other hand..........
If you ream it you can only go so far which leaves an hour glass effect and not as much contact surface.
I'm drilling mine and using the insert.
