1974 stock engine 140 hp.Truck had no power and went 5 mph up hills.Changed to efi 1988 mustang 225 hp still no power and 5 mph up hill. |

Are you really at 5mph or is it just sluggish? What size tires do you have? What gears are you running? Does it run fine on flat ground? It could be any number of things. |

If your transmission is slipping, it will do that. Pull the dipstick and smell the oil to see if its burnt. |

yes its that slow going up hills unless I shift from drive to 2 then it gets a little better.Its slow on flat ground also and i have 33's and i think 3.73 gears.The oil in the trans smells good because i just filled it up.I have a bad leak between the transfer case and trans.Also when i shift from park to drive it jerks like it wants to take off.timing is right i put a rag in the number one cylinder and when it blew out i set the dizzy to the number one spark plug. |
