I've always liked the looks of the 4x4 vans and one with a7.3 d would be damn near the ultimate family truckster |

I happen to know where one is, E350 4x4 7.3 extended body, I've thought about offering to buy it. I believe he'd just laugh. |

Yeah. A 7.3l would be ideal..I would even go with a 6.0 if I coud not find a good 7.3L. I am in the same boat as you Kinder, no way I could afford one at this point. I would definitely be laughed at with any offer I made. |

If I was to do this (one day I want too), I would go with http://www.ujointoffroad.com/ Very nice kits and bumpers. Of course, by the time I can afford this, I am hoping to be able to weld and fabricate like Kinder and CrawlerCreations. Then I would not need a kit |

I've actually been toying with the idea of a 7.3 Excursion for family road trips. If that doesn't pan out, maybe buy a 5.4/V10 model and have a 24V Cummins fitted into it. |

Geo, come hang out with one of us while we're working. There are a bunch of guys in the club happy to teach. If you want to work with me on my on my axle swap and long arm install I can probably at least get you up to hack level. None of this stuff is all that hard to do. |

I've got a bunch of prep work to do to get my axles ready to install, but I'll give you a shout when I'm to the point of getting them under the truck. |
