Hard top latch question
Any one ever taken a hard top latch apart? And I mean APART. I'm pretty savvy with lock mechanisms and often often rekeyed cylinders that I, and others, have lost keys for. Problem I am having is getting the lock mechanism out of the latch handle. I expected there to be a release point just past the lock and unlock positions, which was incorrect. So now I'm stumped. How do you get the locking mechanism out of the latch? About the only option I have left if to cut it up and see how it works.
Note: This isn't on my actual hard top. This is on a spare latch I picked up from Bitchn' the other day.
I guess I should also note, if anyone has any problems with their key cylinders, i.e. lost the keys, etc., let me know. I'm pretty handy with a set of picks and I have a key cutter in my shop. No Bronco blanks on hand, yet. Soon though.
