So no, I have not gotten my t-case back in -- just too hevay for just me. But I was cleaning up the floor shifter and it just seems to be a bit gimpy and gets stuck a bit. Got me thinking that maybe I would want to go with a new twin stick set up? I mean everything else under the car is new, I mind as well splurge, right? Any good reasons not to go with the twin stick set up -- I think it is like $125 bucks from most Bronco places. |

Well to twin stick or not to twin stick - that is the question. Drew put the twin stick on his and loves it. Simple upgrade and much easier still while the t-case is out of the truck. Drew's is a J shift, I understand the T-shift is a bit more difficult but still worth it. |

I think mine is the J-shift. Now I have to figure out how to tell -- I thought like 73 forward were J-shift. |

You're J shift. And why not go for it? Your build is going to have a very clean, stock appeal to it. I don't think the twin stick is going to detract from that at all. And the added functionality will be a bonus. |

x3, especially for the J-shifts. The shifter can get cranky and be hard to shift. With the J-shift it will also allow you to do front digs and drive with just the front driveshaft should you break something in the rear half of the drivetrain. There is no down side, other than the additional cost. I'd suggest the JB fab sticks. They're really well made. As a bonus, they're shiny, too. |

Sounds like a plan guys. JB Fab sticks -- can you point me there so that I can have a look? :-) |

http://www.jbfab.net/cgi-bin/miva?/Merc ... ry_Code=BS If your truck is purty, they also make some really nice billet knobs. |

No, not purty at all. I just had to replace / refurbish sop much, that this seems like a no brainer. Body is all original paint -- and dents. Hoping to have it road worthy shortly! |

while I cant really argue against twin sticks, I gotta say I'm perfectly happy with the "improved" J shifter I got from Duffs. it acts exactly like the stock one should've. no muss, no fuss, looks stock. except, it's shiny and mine has an 8ball on it. |

Lemme know if you decide to pull the trigger on this. Maybe split the cost on shipping and pick up a few things myself. |
