Rear Pinion Guard. Powder coat?
I’ve got the rear pinion guard that I need to figure out whether I should powder coat it or just paint it. I guess my first thought is to just paint it so I can touch it up “if” it gets rock rash.
Any suggestions? Best paint to use if I don’t powder coat?

I was planning to install one as well and just plan on painting it, I don't see the point in spending money on powder coating for obvious reasons. I usually use Rustoleum self etching primer and then whatever Rustoleum color over that.

Rattle can would get my vote too. My rear diff is probably the most common point where my rig touches the rocks aside from the tires so you will hit it!
Just clean the metal up good with a prep spray or TSP.

Rattle can. I'm a fan of hammered finishes for stuff like this.

I also like paint all of my frame/cage is paint with black hammer finish rust oleum oil base and I prefer the quart vs spray can and use the cheap paint brushes it flows real nice. But since you only have one piece spray can gets my vote. If you don’t like it you can always powder coat it later.
