Alt guage pegged to the charge side today coming home from Arvada. I changed the headlights and the guage cluster light bulb a fews bacK. Nothing else has been changed. Could the regulator be bad? |

Did you check what voltage is actually at while charging? Still seeing 13-14v while running? Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk |

So I went out to check things out and the battery is down to 11.5 volts and the regulator was warm. I have not driven it since yesterday. |

I’d confirm the battery is in good condition before chasing volts, get a good baseline charge on it, battery should be showing 13+ volts fully charged, then load test it. If the regulator failed while running for any amount of time it may have taken the battery with it. |

The battery is a concern. I see what looks like battery acid splater on inner fender and hood. It did take a charge and with a new regulator from NAPA , I was able to start and the guage settled to "0" quickly. I drove it about 30 miles with it pegged at full charge. |
