Post subject:  EarBud recommendations

I lost my Jawbone bluetooth during our move and I used Prime day to remedy that. Was very excited to get the JBL Tune 120's. I began to fit them to my ear and none of the 3 sizes of jelly thingies would allow these to stay in my ear, even just sitting still. I have small ear canals and have always had trouble with even those foam ear plugs. So these are headed back to Amazon.

Now I'm looking for recommendations on what to replace them with. They need to be Android compatible, be able to answer calls, and sound great with music. BUT, I could also be talked into some that just answer calls too as that was my primary goal with them. However, I do like the idea of taking music along with me.

Thanks!

I am finicky about ear bud style headphones and I’ve got the AirPod Pro’s and love them. I would highly recommend. From a quick google search, they are Android compatible.

I have the Jabra Elite 75t's and really like them. Comfortable and sound good. Work great with Android and iOS. They have the new 85t's now with noise cancellation.

Will look those up. I am also checking out the bone conduction ones that don't block your ear:

But they don't sound particularly good either. So I need to decide how I am going to use them. I'm thinking mostly to make long phone calls, which is what I was using the jawbone for. I have some good over-the-ear phones if I need good sound, or plenty of good speakers throughout the house.

Thanks!!

If your primary goal is voice, then you might look at the Jabra Evolve 65t's instead. They also come with a Bluetooth dongle for your PC so they can offer better choice quality there.

I will do that.

I tested the aftershokz today at a local bike shop. I could get used to them and while the music sound is ok, it's far from amazing. Voice is crystal clear and in stereo. Also, they would stay on for most any activity, to include wrenching on my bronco while on the phone...

Which is why I am a bit apprehensive about a traditional earbud. Maybe I can find some local and have a closer look as to how they fit.

I've got a set of Jabra Elite 65t that I'm really happy with. If I were going to replace them, I'd probably do a set of 75t or 85t since the 65s are discontinued. The overall level of noise deadening is really nice, and I'm guessing that the ANC on the 85's is another big step up from what I've got. You can set them up so that you can hear things around you if that's your preference.
