You know the stuff: It's not that I hate it, but what I hate is buying a new tube for a project and using 2%, then the stuff in the neck dries when you need it again. You have to dig it out to get back to useable RTV. That usually only works once or twice. Any solutions to this? I wouldn't mind if you could buy 1oz tubes and expect to throw it away after each project. But at $7 for a 3oz tube, it sucks throwing the tube away after using only 30% of the RTV and wasting the time to dig out the dried stuff each time. Someone has to have an ingenious way to save it!?!? |

Maybe take off the extended neck and put the short cap back on the tube when you're done with it. |

There is a version that is loaded into a shortened caulking gun. I throw a piece of tape and cap on it and reuse as needed. I’ll look for a pic. |

Please! That would be awesome! Investing in a small gun may be worth it if I can use most of the tube. |
