Sorry Shawn. It will all be worth it and you'll get thru. Once you land that good job, you'll be able to accumulate those "things" again.

When it rains it pours, hopefully you'll see the end to this bad streak and get back to the sweet life.
Good luck.

I hate working late nights and weekends. I can't get to any meetings to get to know anyone.

I get off at six in the morning and might be able to make it. Just no sleepy time before. It's very tempting though.

Cleaned the house a few months back. Prep for in-law visit. That shoebox over in the corner? You can throw that away. Nothing I need in there.
Except the title to my Bronco. And copies of the last threed titles. And my Marti report for the Bronco. And nearly every receipt for the Bronco for the last 18 years.

Zack - they have these really cool things for organizing things, including bronco receipts and stuff. http://www.staples.com/Staples-Heavywei ... uct_744100I can bring you a few if you need... Oh and you should get a fire-proof box for stuff like vehicle titles! Sorry to hear about that. J.D.

Well its not a shitty day for me, but is for my Dad, he went to the VA Hospital this morning for a spinal fusion. I am heading down there in about 30 minutes to sit and wait. He wasn't as nervous until he got on the google and saw something post a 50% success rating.

Thanks Greg, I told the surgeon I know where a reliable hammer with a block of wood is if he needs it. He was supposed to be out of surgery between 11:30 and 12:30 and the liaison spoke to the surgery room and they said everything was going well but it was going to be a few more hours. I think they are finding more than they saw on the MRI and decided to fuse more than one joint together. Ill go back down there in a couple of hours and check in again.

Re: We need a "You know what sux?" thread....
Thanks! He is in "MICU" now and will be there until tomorrow. His BP was still low tonight and they cant give him medication for the pain because of the low BP. When I left tonight it was coming up so they were slowly giving him minute amounts. He wont be 100% when he is out because of all of the scar tissue around the nerve endings. If anyone ever has back issues where they need to do surgeries like this, do not wait for a long time as it may cause some serious issues even crippling. Luckily he isnt at that point yet but could have been if he waited any longer.

Re: We need a "You know what sux?" thread....
Being a dumbass and crawling under a car without checking the jack is actually in a good location and not having a jack stand under there. I went to check a loose inner tie-rod end real quick so i laid down under the car, gave the tire a wiggle and down came the car. A few dislocated ribs and a fair amount of pain later I am feeling really stupid. Lesson learned! BTW it is really hard to yell for your wife when there is a car resting on your chest!

Re: We need a "You know what sux?" thread....
Crawler glad your still with us after that. I agree with you Steve. If we don't get some moisture were in for long, long fire season. Of course a few yrs ago they said the same thing and we didn't have any fires. Rob and I would go up riding our dirt bikes and we were really worried about the frame or skid plate hitting a rock and causing a spark.
