Re: Cool Bronco Pics
4-Point Racing Harnesses installed to the floor, low on the cage, or in the original seat belt mounts are less safe than using Lap Belts? More spinal injuries? Jesus - I will likely mount my rear seats on the floor. It is tempting to put the rear seats higher so the kids could have better view, but mounting low and booster/car seats will likely get close to the same effect. Cortez - that is such a sweet color - would look amazing! I loved doing the body work so I would love to help. You having a Keg in your garage doesn't hurt either

Re: Cool Bronco Pics
I ran with racing harnesses only for a long time, my truck had no seat belts when I bought it. I just got tired of the ordeal of getting belted in, and explaining to passengers how to hook the belt in right. I don't like using the lap only, especially on the highway. I had a 79 Jeep Wag given to me, we pulled the frame for my friend. I pulled the 3 point belts & installed them in my Bronco. I kept the racing belts for offroad, but also have regular 3 point for driving around town. I found a place selling new retractable 3 point belts cheap, I'll be buying a new set before long.

Re: Cool Bronco Pics
Do tell. I'm in the market for a set of 3 point belts for running around. That, and the mounting on my 4 points is really unsafe (upper belts are attached to the roll bar).
Chad, the issue with the mounting in the pic you posted isn't the harness in general. Bolting harnesses to the original points for the lap belt is fine, even preferred since the body is reinforced in those areas. The shoulder belts are the issue. As your body moves forward it takes the belt with it. Think of pulling out one side of an oval. The top of the oval will move downward to accommodate it. This squishes your spine and is what does damage. A seat back isn't strong enough to keep this from happening, which is why you have to have a proper harness bar.

Re: Cool Bronco Pics
Here they are: http://stores.ebay.com/riversetmotorspo ... 34.c0.m322My racing harnesses aren't mounted right either. Passenger side is mounted to the roll bar, and the driver to my floor behind me. I've got some real work on the roll cage & seat belts in front of me. Chad

Re: Cool Bronco Pics
I'm thinking when I get a cage I'll find a beater hard top, cut the sides and back off, bolt it to the top of the cage, and maybe throw a basket on top for summer time.

Re: Cool Bronco Pics
For the right truck in the right state - that rack would be the ultimate. The rack pic is from West Coast Bronco and I think that is an employee. In Cali where there is little rain and over 70 degrees all year, that would be the perfect.
He thought of everything - front seat mounts, rear seat mounts, dash bar, front 'Oh Sh!t' bars, rear grab bars, then the killer roof rack with light mounts. Only thing he didn't do a rear harness bar like Airbur.
I really like his 4 bucket seats ;).

Re: Cool Bronco Pics
I'd stretch the frame and body. I think that'd be easier in the long run. I wouldn't mind stretching my bronco 8-10". That way I could have my rear seat and room for coolers and tools. Plus get a little more wheelbase.

I don't think this wheel / tire combo would be very good for tough wheelin but this one sure looks capable

Re: Cool Bronco Pics
I know exactly where the above picture was taken! I used to go wheeling there all the time in Oregon. That ridgeline of sand just above the roll bar makes a great wizz stop haha :D That same tree line is on the left hand side of the below picture, This is a annual Early Bronco event held every year at Sandlake, just outside Tillamook, Oregon. This picture is taken in the "First Bowl" The event is called "Sand of Beach" or SOB, its an incredible Classic Bronco turn out. I think its been going 13ish years now. I wouldn't be suprised if that picture was taken during this event. Here is a quick video down on ground level from the same event, LOTS of nice Bronco's!

Re: Cool Bronco Pics
That looks nice. Prefer to have the top off, but this would be good for late fall, winter, and early spring.

Re: Cool Bronco Pics
Definitely. Maroon w/silver would be awesome. I'm going orange with black stripes, but I really dig the continuing the stripes on the cage and grill. Someday I'll get there.

LOVE racing stripes. My fav stripes are the ones just a shade darker than the body color like Metallic grey on Metalic Silver car.
Here are a couple more pics . . .
