Added a bit of paint. Pretty pleased with it. Single stage but I got it to cover nicely once I dropped to a 1.2 tip. Hope to do more next weekend. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

Did the rattle-can special on the top of my top. It's not pretty. I just wanted prettier and needed something to last until spring. Two cans of white primer and four (8 oz.) cans of Wimbledon White. Before: After:

Twin lakes area. Peek a boo gulch. Directly to the right of that photo was an old mineshaft. We think it’s connected to Winfield.

I'll have to look that up! My family owns some mining claims in the area, so we've traversed a fair amount of those mountains, but I certainly don't recognize that area.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
So got back from hunting this week ( buddy got a deer ). The new motor in Red sucks! And I don't know why. It fell on it's face under a load or hill. Outside of Fairplay I found the distributor clamp was loose, just cranked in some more timing. It helped so in Poncha Springs I added some more timing. Better but still sucks, but left it alone until I got home. On the way home it started running warmer and warmer and warmer. Water pump died, leaked out most of the coolant. New water pump. Checked the timing no where near the timing mark. Put it back to my timing mark and pig city. Put it back where I had it while hunting. No idea what I did in the rebuild. Set cam at zero. After after all my crying. Red got a new water pump.

Dist off a tooth. Didn't think of that, it would start right up after all the other valve train problems. Maybe advance it a tooth? I will take a "brave pill" and make a adjustment.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Y'know I think there is a market for a better performing "retro" cooler. Those old coolers are cool, but they just don't perform as well as some of the stuff out now.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
After I got all this together as reported nine posts ago, I was obliged to steal or better yet copycat the suggestion from Viperwolf1 to BroncoRaider to substitute a trailblazer heavy duty clutch fan in lieu of the explorer fan clutch. I was also able to use the plastic fan, I did not have to use or purchase a metal fan for this application.
It moved the fan foreword at least an inch, if not more and now the fan isn’t too good for its home!!!
Nice mod gentlemen! ThankYou:):):)

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
I spent some time making ‘79 parts play nice with ‘68 parts and then when I got bored I had to mess with one of my fun projects... if it’s unique, I got it! (or I’m getting it)
I had to cut a little groove in the column support on the firewall so the automatic shift lever would go down into first, otherwise neutral was as far as it would go down.
‘79 tilt Automatic Column

Welded a few braces to the radius arms. Feel a lot more comfortable driving it now. Drove it the first time since the August trip. Will drive it to the Platte meet.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Time to try out stickies. Found a great deal on some used krawler 39" stickies and stazworks double beadlocks. I'll throw them on the bronco for the harder trails and see how I like them. If they're as good as everyone says I'll likely sell them and the 40" mtrs on the bronco currently to buy new sticky krawlers to run full time.
