Windshield glass removal without damaging the glass
As I am tearing down to build back up, I need to remove the glass from the windshield frame so I can repair and repaint. Does anyone know how to get the glass out without damaging the glass? or a shop to take it to, who can remove and replace once I am ready. I will purchase a new rubber moulding of course. My track record with glass is not too great, I usually break it.
Thanks for any help Rob

I just took mine out. I cut the seal from inside the Bronco with a razor blade and it came right out. Run the Blade around the outside of the rubber and it should start to loosen up. Took 10 minutes.

Cut the seal if it old and hard. I broke my last windshield trying to save a old and hard seal.

Thanks for the encouragement. I will take the razorknife to it tonight. Just don't want to break the glass.

Yup! Razor blade. Hand and Knife are horizontal to the windshield on the inside of the cab. Not vertical to the windshield. Cut it good and it should push right OUT (from inside to outside)
