Re: Bronco officially coming back...
Would be sweet to see a small turbo-diesel option. Rumor has it they're working on a smaller diesel option for the f150.

If the top doesn't come off, they've failed.

Re: Bronco officially coming back...
I was part of that focus group as well, the group did discuss the top coming off on the new concept and I think they took it to heart. So hopefully they will make that a standard.

Re: Bronco officially coming back...
This is going to go one of two ways.
1) Ford builds our worst fear; the soccer mom crossover with a Bronco name. This is the more likely result due to Ford's insistence on cross-platform compatibility. This Bronco spends 2-3 years on the market before it is rebranded or simply killed off.
2) Ford releases something that bears a resemblance to what we all want but falls woefully short. They spend 2-3 year tweaking things and trying to make something more in line with what we all want. Production and development costs make a Rubicon competitor financially cost prohibitive. The Bronco dies a quick death in less than 5 years.

Re: Bronco officially coming back...
Boo Hiss!! I'll have to keep my EB!
Someone needs to challenge the Jeep JK. I wouldn't even care if they didn't do a Rubicon-esque package. But we don't need another explorer, edge, IFS/IRS cross-over SUV. I am pretty sure the Rubicon is wildly successful and I know the normal JK's are, so why not start taking a piece of that pie?
Now, a Ranger similar to what is predicted to come out wouldn't be so bad. But give it at least a solid rear axle and a locking diff, or and a t-case.

Re: Bronco officially coming back...
Anyone thinking there could be a possibility of a solid front axle? I'm not holding my breath!
