1-6-2015 COS pull and pay
97 exploder short block 98 exploder complete 96 Bronco 351W complete minus front dress 96 F150 351W torn down to short block 72 F100 with big bearing 9 and HP 44 drum brake
_________________ Stroppe'd 1972 Sport, 302, 3 speed with old school Duff floor shifter, T shift Dana 20 with JB Fab twin stick, 4.11 gears with Trac-loc, Lincoln hydroboost, Chevy disc conversion, WH gas lift gate shock kit, 33" Duratrac tires on slots and about 2.5" of lift, Stroppe installed: bumper braces, dual shocks on all four corners, GM power steering, trans cooler mount, auto shift column, rollbar.
The Terrible One 1972 Sport uncut, 302, C4 with 1974 column , T shift Dana 20, 3.50 gears w/ limited slip, 1966 U13 Roadster kick panel, and factory power steering.

I'm not sure I want to know the answer to this question: How did the 351w short block look? Any idea on mileage?

Pistons appeared normally fouled. Didn't appear to have been exposed to the elements for long, if at all. It is a motor I have been keeping my eyes on. I saw the truck when it first went into the yard and considered pulling it for myself as a back up/project motor for a later build. It had many new/aftermarket parts on it, so I think the truck was fairly well cared for but cannot speak with certainty to that. There was no outward appearing damage to the body of the truck, so I cannot say its presence in the yard was mechanical or accident related. As a short block, I think it would be worth the effort if you are planning a complete tear down. Of course, the Bronco also would make for a suitable candidate, IMO, as it is still buttoned up. The F150 short block does have the benefit of having most of the heavy removal already accomplished.
