Hello my name is Willem, and my bronco is in bits and pieces with a body my dad and I picked up from a junk yard and a frame from another donor, a Viper Built transmission, and a motor from Royce. My bronco's name is "Big O" because of his massive old school lift and a paint job of rust and actual orange paint. It has some of the usual problems, but not too much so the work on the body will be light; floor pans, small repair to the rockers, and a small area on the driver side inner fender. This project consists of a ground up build with a james duff suspension, rebuilding gears and axles, new paint job, front & rear bumper, and a roll cage. Pictures to follow , TFB. |

That's sweet you have project you and your dad can work on together. I did the same thing with my dad on mine and those are some of my most favorite memories. Excited to see it done. |

We've been busy getting back in school, but we had some time to do a couple of small things like pop the body off and put on the new to us front springs. |

Did you get the springs from Dan? If so they're my old springs |

I think I might have your old springs on my truck now. I got them from Dan about a year ago. |

Now that hunting season is over Willem and I are back in the garage working on his rig. We finished the rear diff rebuild tonight, split the labor in 1/2 (I'd drive a race or bearing as an example on one side then he'd do the other. Next is to assemble the rest of the axle tomorrow night since it's a bare housing. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1353378342.572362.jpg |

Willem has his heart set on a blue & orange combo paint scheme after seeing the photos of the SEMA Bronco in the same color. To say that the pumpkin is pumpkin orange is a bit of an understatement. We may need to paint a jack'o lantern face on it to get a few laughs. We also stripped the D44 housing down & he got his Christmas present (Eaton E Locker) early so we can start the build this weekend. Thanks to crawlercreations (Jason) we are rockin' a locker in the D44. This is the third D44 that I've helped assemble so I guess I'm ready to throw off the kid gloves and tackle the next one on my own, yikes! Awesome! I will be looking forward to your review of that locker. So far, my mini-lockers seem to be holding up, but when the funds are available, I think I'd like to step up to 37's on 17's. |

Yes please let us know your feedback on that locker, I've considered buying it for the 60 in the rear of mine, just want to know how reliable it is first |

You can bet Willem will put it to the test and of course I'll put through the paces and compare it to my Aussie & Powertrax. |

Progress... Front axle is in and mostly assembled, need to run the brake lines and put on a diff cover. Engine & trans are in, need to rebuild the D20 and that on, we should have that done in the next week. Welded up the TRO steering system and drilled out the knuckles. Next will be running the fuel, brake and electric on the frame from front to rear, and then the big day when we set the tub back on. |
