Love the color. Grabber Blue is a great color pick for the Bronco. Ought to really stand out in a crowd and be a head turner. Can't wait to see it in person when you got it done.

I agree I like that blue - I do not see why you would want to tone that blue down at all. The mud and dust from regular trail rides will do a good job of it anyway.

Thanks guys as soon as its done ill be sure to make it to the meetings so u can see it and i can see all ur rides.. and definetly hit the trails..looks like im gonna have to plumb the whole brake system since i put in the new booster thats gonna suck but guess it will get done.. then i still need to pull the front axle and replace it with the other axle with disk brakes and do the power steering finish my cage and bumpers and some other stuff its a big list still but i am motivated so we will see what happens

Post Re: 66 Bronco Project
Wow getting a little discouraged here seems all the new things I get for the bronco I have to replace everything around it to make it work...Im currently getting ready to push the smurf off a cliff..i finally got to my axle swap jumped into it by myself and had trouble with the install the passenger side went in ok but when I got to the driverside I ended up cross threading all 4 bolts that hold the axle in place..some how I got it all the way in after hours of tourquing which Im sure wasnt a good idea but anyway got it in and the track bar took a big hammer to install so I finally wiped the sweat of f my face and pushed the bronco out of the garage to have a look and Ill be damned if the freaken isnt leaning about 3 inches to the driver side..after pitching a wrench into the the garage rant I pushed it back in and Im currently in a very grumpy mood..dont know if the track bar is putting pressure to the driver side or if those bone head c bushings are upside down or something but I seriously dont want to tare into that thing again...might be time to call in a real mechanic..my days of sitting in a 100 degree garage are getting really tiring and Im running out of wheeling time..still have to plumb the full brake system..just got done fabing a bracket for my powersteering so Ill see if that works...anyone have any ideas out there or perhaps some garages that can get this thing done??

It's looking nice! Really is. Don't have a lot of experience with the c-bushings so hopefully someone else can help you there! Just wish you were closer so we could lend a hand.

You should start looking for another set of stock arms because you don't want them to fail if you believe they are cross-threaded.

I know you really want to get this thing out this summer, but there is always next. And you're welcome to join in on some snow bashing too.

Take a break, watch some bronco wheelin' videos to get your ambition back up and they jump back on it.

Yeah I know I just need to take a break...got all these buddies I help out but when it comes to them giving me a hand their nowhere to be found..guess thats the way it works though..and your right on that arm I was going to replace it with one out of my donor bronco but that damn thing is bent in that one..if I had more time id just take it up to denver and have some of those arms fabbed up that I saw on the site cant remember who it was but had some nice flex..might still do that who knows..it just sucks watching the summer go by knowing you could be out wheeling but ur rig is being difficult..I was so close to ordering up an air locker for the front today but had to run into this..

Dude, sorry to hear about all the headaches. I was just looking on craigslist today for some radius arms, I found some for about $30. If you need someone to pick them up for you I will help out with that. I really hope your power steering comes around for you. I have some extra c-bushings if you need them. It does suck that your buddys wont help you out, Im sure if you were closer to denver you would have no shortage of help from the club members. Maybe you should park it up here so the club can have a tech day on it and spend the weekend in Denver. How much is left to get it on the road/trail ?

I would honestly put a tried and true full detroit locker in the front. True-trac's are good, but they are still considered a limited slip. Detroit is a full-on locker.

My front suspension came as a kit from Clint at Battlement Fab. Been real happy with it so far. PM clint here to get more info.
