Colorado Blue Spruce trees
Anyone interested in doing a group buy on some Colorado Blue Spruce Trees for their property? Trees are on average 12' tall from a tree farm that is changing inti an apple farm. Trees are in the Delta area. Price would be 110 per tree plus share the cost of delivery. Semi load quantity only of 30-40 trees. Just guaging interest. I'd love to get 6-8 trees myself. Anybody else want to do something green?

Re: Colorado Blue Spruce trees
Dang. Where was this deal a few years ago when I redid the front yard? I paid that, at least, for a 4' CO Blue Spruce.
Hopefully if we find a new property soon this deal will still be around!

Re: Colorado Blue Spruce trees
The more I research prices on trees the more i realize how good a deal this could be. I saw the add in an email newsletter that i subscribe to from a company named Repurposed Materials Inc. Here is the add:
repurposedCLASSIFIEDS (For advertising information, contact Damon...303.321.1471 or damon@repurposedmaterialsinc.com.) Blue Spruce Trees. Large, mature blue spruce trees available at 80% off. Tree Farm/Orchard is replanting their acreage into apple trees. Semi truckload quantities only. (30 to 35 per semi load.) Trees are 8'-12' & 5'-7' in diameter. Trees are in western Colorado. Email Edward at edward.t@lerouxcreek.com. OPPTY for a EnvirOnMental DoubLe PlaY. These would be ideal for shelter belts and soil conservation. Learn More about the Benefits of Shelter Belts>> So I emailed Ed at the above address and this is his reply:
The trees are to be dug, in wire baskets with burlap. Truck load quantities are $110 per tree. We have dug over 8000 trees of this farm over the years. Just time to plant anew. Some trees are nursery quality some are just not perfect but still very nice. If you order we start at the head of the irrigated row and dig to the bottom. Usually there are 30 to 40 trees on a load. Most of our trees are 12', some bigger some smaller, all the same price. We have delivery available and great prices. The trees are located close to Delta, Colorado. There is a price increase for smaller quantities. Usual prices for delivery to the east slope is $800. Thanks for the inquiry. Edward There are some logistics to be figured out for sure but this could be great if there is enough interest. Incidentally, here is a link to the email that I get. Pretty cool company doing some neat stuff. http://us4.campaign-archive2.com/?u=fb3 ... bc2aff5e28

Re: Colorado Blue Spruce trees
Did anyone ever go through with this and order up a load of trees?

Re: Colorado Blue Spruce trees
I'd be up for a half dozen if there is a future order in the works.
